Mairi's Theme is a short but evocative piece of piano music, written and performed in 2013 by Mairi Cowan, one of the daughters of Oatfield House, Campbeltown, Scotland. It draws upon the many influences in her life, including that of her grandmother, Vera Nixon, who is a talented pianist in her own right.
The photographs accompanying the Theme, mostly captured by her brother George, are all taken in and around her home on the Mull of Kintyre, Scotland.
